I've been interested in the paranormal all my life and have studied anything on the subject that I can get my hands on, from UFO's, mythology, lake monsters to ghosts. I would say that I am definitely a believer, even though I'm not quite sure what it is I am believing in and I am looking forward to investigating the paranormal outside of the books.
I have seen many strange things growing up, things that science has yet to find the answers for, but I am not someone whose so lost in my beliefs that I don't think that science has a place in paranormal investigations. Science is a valuable tool and the only way that anything based in the paranormal will ever be taken seriously is when it is validated by a legitimate scientific explanation. Also if science disproves or shows a natural explanation for a particular phenomenon then it all helps towards finding the real paranormal activity and stops us from wasting our time!!!!
I have many hobbies aside from the paranormal including writing, drawing and painting and studying comparative religions, though I am not myself part of any one religion, I find myself drawn to Spiritualism, Buddhism and Pagan faiths, I just find all the different religions of the world both fascinating and scary. I certainly do not judge anyone for there beliefs and hope that we get many different people of differing faiths on the forum just to get as many views as we can on the topics being discussed. As long as your faith is not hurting other people you should be allowed to believe in what you like.
I am looking forward to talking to like minded people and having heated discussions with the sceptics.
